Abstract:
This subject considers different forms of substitute care and permanency planning and evaluates their outcomes from the child's perspective. Though the subject concentrates on children and adolescents in abusive or potentially abusive situations, it also examines substitute care for children and adolescents where abuse is not an issue.

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:

Be able to outline and evaluate innovative approaches to substitute care.
