Standard CSU and UAC admission requirements for undergraduate courses apply.

Diploma of Commerce

Subject to availability of places, the University will admit any applicant it believes can undertake the proposed course with reasonable prospect of success. In determining an applicant's prospect for success, the University will consider previous studies and/or other attainments and experience.

Credit

Bachelor of Business (with specialisations)

The Faculty has a large number of standard credit packages for TAFE and other institutions.

Diploma of Commerce

Students are not entitled to credit in this course as the University does not allow credit in Diploma courses.

Graduation requirement

Bachelor of Business (with specialisations)

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 192 points.

Diploma of Commerce

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 64 points.

The course consists of three core subjects and a specialisation sequence. Students can choose to specialise in one of the following areas:

Joint Studies

Professional recognition

Professional accreditation applies to some of the specialisations:

Finance Specialisation:

The Finance specialisation is approved by ASIC authorised assessors as meeting ASIC's training requirements in relation to Regulatory Guide 146 Licensing: Training of financial product advisers (RG 146). Graduates meet the requirements for Tier 1 registration under RG146.

Human Resource Management Specialisation:

The Human Resource Management specialisation is accredited by the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI).

Insurance Specialisation:

The Insurance specialisation is accredited by the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF). Students must apply for this course through ANZIIF. Accreditation from ASIC (RG146 compliance) is applicable if specific Finance subjects are completed.
