Normal course duration
Full-time 4.5 years (9.0 sessions)
Completed in a four (4) year calendar period.
Admission criteria
Normal admission requirements of the University will apply, with students being admitted under the UAC and VTAC systems.
Credit
Students entering the course with Higher School Certificate minimum Band 4 in English Advanced, Standard English or English as a Second Language, and Band 4 in General Mathematics, or completion of Mathematics or Extension Mathematics to an equivalent standard will be given credit for LIT101 Language and Text and MTH100 Foundation Mathematics.
Graduation requirement
To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 304 points.
Course structure
The course consists of 27 core education subjects, 7 high school specialist teaching subjects, 2 curriculum method subjects and 2 compulsory subjects (literacy and numeracy). As a result, students undertake a total of 38 subjects (the equivalent of 304 subject points).
