Articulation agreements

Charles Sturt University and the University of Tasmania (UTas) offer a joint degree of Bachelor of Health Science (BHSc) / Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Imaging) (BAppSc(MedImaging)). The BHSc will be awarded by the UTas and the BAppSc(MedImaging) will be awarded by CSU following successful completion of study at both Universities. The course has four (4) years of study, the first 2 years at the Launceston campus of UTas and the final 2 years at the Wagga campus of CSU. During the first 2 years, students complete subjects specific to the BHSc as well as completing equivalent subjects that a first year student would complete at CSU in the BAppSc (Med Imaging). Students enrolled in the joint course will then be required to relocate to Wagga to complete their 3rd and 4th years by undertaking the CSU 2nd and 3rd year subjects on-campus.

Professional recognition

In April 2003 the Australian Institute of Radiography awarded Full Accreditation for 5 years to the Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Imaging) course. In September 2008, the Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science (Medcial Imaging) has again been awarded Full Accreditation for 5 years.
