The Australian Computer Society (ACS) accredits courses in Information Technology to verify that they meet professional standards in terms of content, staff skills, teaching facility and quality assurance. The parent program, Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) is accredited by the Australian Computer Society at the professional level. Accreditation will be sought for the new Diploma of IT, which is a subset of the BIT.
