Admission criteria

Master of Education (Knowledge Networks and Digital Innovation)

An applicant for admission to the degree of Master of Education (Knowledge Networks and Digital Innovation) must have the following qualifications:

  • hold a 4 year Bachelor degree in Education (which includes Graduate Certificate or equivalent at AQF Level 8 for teacher accreditation); or
  • hold a Graduate Diploma of Education, Bachelor of Teaching (graduate entry); or
  • possess other qualifications and/or work experience deemed to be equivalent by the University under the provisions of the Australian Qualifications Framework.

Credit

Master of Education (Knowledge Networks and Digital Innovation)

Applicants may be eligible for credit as follows:

A.  An appropriate four (4) year Bachelor degree in education or equivalent, and teacher librarian qualification (ALIA accredited or equivalent)

  • Maximum of 4 subjects (32 points) credit which meet CSU credit guidelines.

B.  An appropriate four (4) year Bachelor degree in education or equivalent at AQF Level 8, plus a generalised library or information studies discipline qualification (ALIA accredited or equivalent):

  • Maximum of 4 subjects (32 points) credit  which meet CSU credit guidelines. 

C.  An appropriate four (4) year Bachelor degree in education or equivalent at AQF Level 8
 

  • Flexible structure, formed of one (2) core and six (6) electives
  • Maximum of 2 subject (24 credit points) credit for relevant post-graduate study upon entry which meet CSU credit guidelines.

Articulation

The Master and the Graduate Certificate [exit point only] make up an articulated set of courses and credit is given in each higher level course for the subjects completed in the lower.
