Abstract
This subject describes the knowledge and skills required to plan and monitor the development, direction and changes of a complex organisation, range of programs or major program area.
The subject focuses on coordinating organisation planning, designing and implementing the structures and processes of an organisation, implementing evaluation processes and meeting relevant legal requirements. Emphasis is placed on establishing the profile of the organisation, the marketing of its services and the effective management of the organisation to define and monitor indicators for positive change.

SyllabusThe subject will cover the following topics:
- Coordinate organisation planning
- Identify appropriate strategic alliances and negotiate and maintain participation
- Identify overall purpose and philosophy of the organisation and translate into a written or recorded set of aims and objectives
- Undertake appropriate consultation with relevant people and agencies
- Establish financial accountability systems
- Prepare budgets in line with strategic plan
- Funding options and opportunities
- Implement evaluation processes
- Implement mechanisms to ensure relevant commonwealth, state and local government legal requirements are identified and adhered to
- Regularly update information about current legal requirements
