EEP304 Diversity and Difference in Early Childhood Education (8)
Abstract| This subject takes as foundational the centrality of the concepts of diversity and difference in early childhood education and educational contexts. Students will examine the trends in Canadian social policies and factors that create/influence social justice and equity and which may impact on children, families and communities both positively and negatively. The subject aims to both critically examine assumptions that frame our practice and offer alternatives so that early childhood professionals can envision themselves as agents of change around issues of diversity, difference, social justice and equity. |
