Abstract| This subject will examine the issues and practicalities involved with integrating the World Wide Web into the classroom in ways that promote intellectual quality, a quality learning environment, and provide significance to the learning beyond the classroom. It will provide participants with the opportunity to learn about a range of Web pedagogies, and to critique and develop a series of Web-based educational resources. |

Learning OutcomesUpon successful completion of this subject, students should:
- identify and evaluate recent developments in the educational application of the Web
- demonstrate an awareness of ways in which the Web-based resources and Web 2.0 tools may be used across the curriculum
- understand the possible uses of the Web to engage learners in high quality intellectual work that has significance beyond the classroom
- demonstrate an understanding of possible uses of Web-based resources and Web 2.0 tools that promotes quality learning environments, in which social support and self-regulation are valued principles that structure the learning process
- be able to critically evaluate Web sites for use in learning and across the curriculum
- design, develop and deploy educational Web resources and Web 2.0 tools
- have an understanding of issues related to the hosting, publication, and ethical reproduction of Web resources in schools
