    The Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education is targeted at professional practice associated with learning and teaching in higher education.

    Admission for CSU Probationary academics:

    All CSU probationary academic staff will be granted admission to the Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education.

    Admission for other candidates:

    Admission to this course is restricted to academic and professional staff who are currently engaged in learning and teaching in higher education contexts.

    Admission to the GCLTHE can be considered on the basis of prior relevant qualifications OR on the basis of equivalence. 'Equivalence' in this instance equals a minimum of 3 years fulltime equivalent professional practice within the higher education sector or TAFEs in fields related to improving the quality of learning and teaching (within the past 10 years).

    Credit CSU Credit Policy

    Applicants who complete Stage 1 and Stage 2 of the ADPP Facilitator Program will be eligible for proficiency credit for one subject in the standard GCLTHE course

    Students who have already completed FULT will receive credit for EEL416.

    This aligns with the requirement that all probationary CSU staff complete EEL416 and EEL409

    Applicants with previous higher education teaching experience may seek proficiency credit for EEL409.

    Graduation requirement

    To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 32 points.

    The course comprises four 8 point subjects.

    EEL409 Learning and Teaching in Higher Education
    EEL416 Learning and Teaching at CSU
    or
    EEL417 Learning and Teaching in an Institutional Context (for non CSU participants)
    EEL501 Professional and Practice-Based Education
    EEL502 Designing Blended Learning Environments in Higher Education
