ACC432 Accounting Honours Project/Dissertation (P/T) (32)

Abstract

Candidates enrolled in the Bachelor of Business (Accounting) (Honours) course are required to prepare a dissertation proposal, conduct approved research under supervision, and present the results of their research for examination in a form approved by the Faculty of Commerce.

Enrolment restrictions

Completion of the compulsory courswork and restricted to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Business (Accounting)(Honours) course.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
Critically investigate a theoretical or applied accounting issue.
Write up the results of the investigation as a dissertation.
Appreciate the value of ethical practice.

Syllabus

The subject will cover the following topics:
Pursue a program of research relevant to accounting resulting in a dissertation that contributes to the theory or practice of accounting.
Conduct research based on the approved dissertation proposal, working with approved supervisor/s.
Present research findings in an approved dissertation form for examination by examiners approved by the University.
