This subject develops students' ability to plan and stage an event, emphasising the strategic value of events and the importance of planning at every stage.

Enrolment restrictions

Admission to the Bachelor of Communication (with specialisation), Bachelor of Business Studies (as part of a minor sequence) and Bachelor of Media Communication courses. The subject is included in the Bachelor of Marketing Communications which is delivered by offshore partners.
 

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:

  • be able to create a strategic plan for an event, including evaluation methods
  • be able to devise and implement message strategies for an event
  • be able to apply strategic project planning and management skills required for event planning
