Abstract

This subject explores basic construction and finishing techniques for set and props. Students will become familiar with OH&S concerns in the workshop. Focus will also be given to developing design project planning and budgeting skills. Students will apply these skills to a small scale project.

- the set design workshop - the properties design workshop - set construction techniques - moulding and casting techniques - transforming objects - set finishing techniques - analysing and costing plans - project planning - project timeline - project monitoring - OH&S principals and processes
