Abstract| In this subject students will finalise their skills development in preparation for graduate practice as competent dental therapists and hygienists. This subject will focus on more complex treatment needs of patients integrating the knowledge learnt to date. |

SyllabusThe subject will cover the following topics:
The subject will cover student clinical demonstration of all scopes of oral health therapy practice at graduate level and under supervision including:-
* routine skills in dentistry listed under dental council legislation for oral health therapists
* appropriate referral for comprehensive cases
* high levels of effective communication with patients
* emphasis on implementation on high levels of health promotion preventive strategies and models of behaviour change |
