ENM109 Introduction to Professional Practice (8)

Abstract

Being professional means is not only about being competent and skillful, but it also means behaving in an ethical way. In this subject students will start to consider and plan for their future area of employment and what it means to be a professional in that area. They also start connecting with potential employers, improve their ability to apply for employment, and plan a course of action that ensures they complete their degree as 'work ready' graduates. They also learn important professional skills in communication and working as part of a team. The subject has no residential school. On completion students will have a broad and coherent understanding what it means to be a professional and will start to take responsibility for the transition for becoming a professional.
