Abstract|
This subject is designed to provide a specialist understanding of the provision of information resources within the learning and teaching context of the school. Search strategies, information sources and resource evaluation are examined in relation to print and digital environments. The teacher librarian’s role in the creation, design, structure and flow of information in the school is explored, in particular the use of Web 2.0 tools. |

Learning OutcomesUpon successful completion of this subject, students should:
- be able to critically evaluate the learning and teaching context in which a range of resources are used in schools to support curriculum programs;
- be able to understand and investigate how information is effectively sought and utilised;
- be able to develop and evaluate highly effective search strategies and apply these to the learning and teaching context;
- be able to link the provision of information resources for the school community to the development of information literacy outcomes across the school;
- be able evaluate and use Web 2.0 tools to provide innovative digital information resources; and
- be able to evaluate and integrate Web 2.0 tools to develop curriculum resources that support the learning and teaching context.

- The learning and teaching context of information resource provision
- Information resources in digital environments
- Effective search strategies and digital content curation tools
- Digital technology skill development for effective information literacy in the curriculum
- Collaborative curriculum design and product development
- The use of Web 2.0 tools in resource development and curriculum support.
