GRP226 Advertising and Design (8)

Abstract

This subject will examine the role of design in advertising; how advertisements work and why certain campaigns are more successful than others. Students will examine award winning campaigns and consider the changing trends in advertising and the effects of technology. The application of these elements and the integration of design and studio skills will be developed through specific assignments and seminars.

- theories and history of advertising and marketing - market definition - research in advertising - copywriting - problem solving within the advertising field
