Abstract|
This subject introduces postgraduate students to the various methodological approaches, both qualitative and quantitative, to health research. Students will gain an understanding of research design, implementation,analysis and communication of their research to the scientific community and formulate their own research project. |

* Describe the primary means for dissemination of research findings;
* Demonstrate understanding of the requirements and procedures for ethical, and other approval, for research;
* Define a health research project using methodologies appropriate to their field of research;
*Demonstrate use and understanding of the statisticals methods, with particular reference to techniques appropriate to the proposed field of research
