HRC416 Computing Honours Project/Dissertation (16)

Abstract

Candidates enrolled in a Computing Honours course are required to prepare a dissertation proposal, conduct approved research under supervision, and present the results of their research for examination in a form approved by the Faculty of Business. A computing Honours project requires two or more sessions, and students need to enrol in two or more Project/Dissertation subjects to make up the appropriate credit points for their course.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
. have developed the knowledge, skills and capacity to analyse, evaluate and
review current research literature in the computing discipline;
. be able to apply the results to the computing field of their speciality;
. have developed the capacity for independent research.

Syllabus

The subject will cover the following topics:
Individual research project appropriate to prerequisite studies completed by the student and limited to the computing discipline.
