INF450 Research in Information Studies 1 (16)

Abstract

Issues and questions which arise from the candidates professional practice are identified and provide the basis of a well developed research proposal. Candidates will undertake a literature review related to the selected area of study. An ethics application will also be completed and submitted (where appropriate).

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
  • have developed knowledge about the skills and expertise needed to undertake research in informtion studies, and be able to demonstrate this knowledge in a well developed research proposal;
  • have developed an ethics application (where appropriate); and
  • have developed report writing skills to a high professional level.
