INF531 Information Services Around the World (8)

Abstract

The subject introduces the student to international information agencies, intercultural information concerns, and how information services differ between nations, covering a range of global information issues. Students will explore the information infrastructures of various countries and the influence of changing information and communication technologies on these infrastructures.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:

  • be able to compare information infrastructures and policies on an international scale;
  • be able to analyse and describe comparative and international research related to libraries and information agencies.
