ITC126 Introduction to the Internet (8)

Abstract

This subject will introduce the student to being a competent user of the Internet. The subject is very practical and covers areas such as basic authoring techniques, general World Wide Web protocols, effective searching techniques for the Internet, strategies to store information, remote processing, multimedia and social issues.

Residential School

This subject contains a optional 1 day residential school. The residential school is primarily aimed at providing assistance to students who have little or no programming / authoring experience. A hands-on workshop will be conducted along with students being taught how to effectively search as well as how to transfer files across the Internet.
