Abstract|
This subject builds on the intensive and in-depth review of the research topic within the area of Information Technology that students commenced in ITC713. The subject requires students to become mastery over major research issues to be addressed when applying the research methodology for a research study. By the end of the subject students should be able to carry out the empirical work proposed in ITC713 and analyse, interpret and report findings in a scholarly written report ready for publication in a refereed journal or conference. The project started in ITC713 will be completed in this subject. |

Learning OutcomesUpon successful completion of this subject, students should:
- be able to evaluate the research process and identify the issues that may arise when designing the appropriate research method for the chosen topic of study;
- be able to analyse and synthesise academic literature on research methods and techniques used to acquire research specialised knowledge;
- be able to analyse a chosen research problem and propose an innovative and convincing proposal;
- be able to justify the overall research approach, research methodology and specific research design that are likely to be productive in addressing the research problem;
- be able to write a clear and concise paper resulting from a research project ready for publication in a refereed journal or conference.
