Abstract

This subject focuses on the collation and presentation of journalism across all contemporary media platforms. Working for an authentic newsroom students edit and produce print and web publications and radio and television news and feature programs.

  • be able to produce content for multiplatform delivery.

The subject will cover the following topics:
  • Roles of editors, producers' and subeditors in program/publication production
  • Role and function of editorial meetings
  • Story selection, hierarchy and placement in television and radio bulletins and programs/print and online publications
  • Print and online layout and design
  • Subediting
  • Audio and visual producing
  • Editorial judgment
