Learning OutcomesUpon successful completion of this subject, students should:
- be able to demonstrate an ability to identify the strengths and weaknesses of existing coverage in terms of story framing, language, and sources - be able to creatively address those weaknesses in their own coverage - be able to demonstrate an appreciation of the limitations production processes and considerations of news-worthiness place on coverage - be able to utilise research and journalism practice to produce a major piece of journalism to a professional standard - be able to demonstrate advanced skills in investigation, interviewing and writing.
