Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
- be able to demonstrate their research skills by designing , carrying out and reporting a piece of empirical research

Syllabus

The subject will cover the following topics:
  • - The completion of a proposed project and the writing of a report in APA format. The research project may have been developed in PSY524 or PSY540.

Residential School

This subject contains a compulsory 2.5 day residential school. The residential school is intended to serve a number of functions
• to review students’ selection and use of research methodologies
• to enhance students’ appreciation of contemporary scholarship in clinical psychology
Activities include
• staff and student presentations of research proposals
• student self-evaluation tasks
