Abstract

Grammar Essentials for Writing at University aims to develop the knowledge and skills of students in the fundamental area of grammatical accuracy in academic writing. Topics covered include the role of grammar in communication, parts of speech, writing a grammatically correct sentence, features of effective writing, correct punctuation, and where to find help.

Grammar Essentials for Writing at University is an online and self-paced subject that allows student discussion and interaction to assist students towards more effective academic writing. The Subject Coordinator will be available to support and facilitate student learning in this subject. At least 30 hours of personal study will be required to satisfactorily complete the subject.
