Abstract|
This subject provides a structure for students to work as reflective educators within the collaborative, pastorally oriented settings of Religious and Values Education. Outcomes of this subject are determined by the nature of the current or projected educational context, and are negotiated on an individual basis between students and supervisors. Projects are likely to be critical investigations of a particular approach to an identified curriculum or pedagogical issue, undertaken to understand thoroughly its strengths and weaknesses. A detailed exploration of techniques relevant to the research topic is developed by students through reflection-in-action cycles in their own context. |

- be able to investigate and critique identified issues in the professional practice of Religious and Values Education
- be able to demonstrate technical and communication skills to design, evaluate, implement, analyse and reflect upon their own professional practice as religious and values educators
- be able to articulate an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses involved in these identified issues
- be able to demonstrate skill in research through the development of reflection-in-action cycles in their field of professional practice in Religious and Values Education.
