Abstract
This subject is designed to give students a fundamental working knowledge and understanding of 3D animation in a computer environment. This will allow the student to create simple and complex animated scenes which may be used in broadcast quality productions, on and/or off line products, or for proto-typing work in another medium. |

Learning OutcomesUpon successful completion of this subject, students should:
- be able to demonstrate the theory of 3D computation and its relation to animation
- be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of the practice of producing 3D animation for internet, television, movie or related graphic design
- be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of the software and hardware employed in the 3D industry
- be able to demonstrate an appreciation of the creative potential of 3D based production
