Abstract

Students undertake a limited number of staff initiated assignments which are tailored to the individual needs and directions of the student and lead to the professional application of arts practice through the development of the student's aesthetic sensibilities, together with the promotion of critical analysis.

Syllabus

The subject will cover the following topics:
  • Students undertake a limited number of staff initiated assignments taking into account the individual directions and fields of study of the students.
  • Each topic demands preliminary studies and in depth investigations and documentation to allow for individual and original interpretation. Assignments are undertaken in close consultation with the Lecturer to develop a professional approach to problem solving. Topics and Assignments address the resolution of discipline appropriate outcomes toward the presentation at the end of semester of a coherent portfolio in the fields of Multimedia, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Fashion Design, Fine Art, Sound Production, Digital Media, Screen and Media or Communication.
