To graduate with the Bachelor of Creative Arts and Design (Photography and Graphic Design)students must satisfactorily complete 256 subject points (4.0 equivalent full time years)
Associate Degree in Creative Arts and Design [Exit Point Only]
Full-time 2 years (4.0 sessions)
Part-time 4.0 years (8.0 sessions)
Normal course duration is the effective period of time taken to complete a course when studied Full-time (Full-time Equivalent: FTE). Students are advised to consult the Enrolment Pattern for the actual length of study. Not all courses are offered in Full-time mode.
Admission criteria
CSU Admission PolicyBachelor of Creative Arts and Design (with specialisations)
There are no specific admission requirements for the Bachelor of Creative Arts and Design. However a folio of evidence of creative works and/or an interview/meeting may be requested.
Admission requirements for the Bachelor of Creative Arts and Design (Fine Arts) are as follows:
Applicants to the integrated program taught jointly by Charles Sturt University and Riverina Institute of TAFE must be enrolled in the TAFE Diploma of Visual Arts.
All other applicants must have satisfactorily completed a TAFE Diploma or Advanced Diploma of Visual Arts to be eligible for admission.

CSU Credit PolicyBachelor of Creative Arts and Design (with specialisations)
Credit requirements for the Bachelor of Creative Arts and Design (Fine Art) are as follows:
Students who have successfully completed a TAFE Diploma of Visual Arts will be given 64 points of transfer credit in the form of CCI01C.
Students who have successfully completed a TAFE Advanced Diploma of Visual Arts will be given 96 points of transfer credit in the form of CCI02C.
Articulation
The Bachelor and Associate Degree [Exit Point Only] make up an articulated set of courses and credit is given in each higher level course for the subjects completed in the lower.
Graduation requirements
Bachelor of Creative Arts and Design (with specialisations)
To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 192 points.
Associate Degree in Creative Arts and Design [Exit Point Only]
To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 128 points.
Course Structure
To exit with an Associate Degree students must satisfactorily complete 128 points to graduate. Of these, 56 points are allocated to core studies, 48 points will be allocated a discipline specialisation (under CSU policy students can not be awarded an Associate Degree with a specialisation noted), and 24 points allocated to an elective study strand of the student’s choice from offerings within the School of Communication & Creative Industries (or externally by approval of the Course Director).
To graduate with a Bachelor degree students must satisfactorily complete 192 subject points.
Core subjects = 72 points
Specialisation = 64 points
Capstone subject = 24 points
Minor subjects = 32 points
To graduate with a double specialisation students must satisfactorily complete 256 subject points.
Core subjects = 72 points
2 x Specialisation = 128 points
Capstone subject = 24 points
Minor subjects = 32 points
