In general, the course aims to both provide graduates with the academic requirements for registration as a Psychologist (the “professional aim”) and an understanding of the basis of human behaviour (the “disciplinary” aim). These aims include providing students with a number of analytic and service directed skills that will have relevance to a broad range of employment areas including research. Specifically, the Bachelor of Psychology aims to provide students with an education in the discipline of psychology and an introduction to the application of psychology as well as to develop competence in research.
