Admission criteria

CSU Admission Policy

Master of Arts (Ageing and Pastoral Studies)
  1. Successful completion of a relevant undergraduate degree;
    or
  2. Successful completion of the CSU Graduate Diploma of Ageing and Pastoral Studies, or equivalent.

Applicants without tertiary qualifications must satisfactorily complete the Graduate Diploma of Ageing and Pastoral Studies prior to admission to the Master of Arts (Ageing and Pastoral Studies).

Graduate Diploma of Ageing and Pastoral Studies
  1. Successful completion of a relevant undergraduate degree;
    or
  2. Successful completion of the CSU Graduate Certificate in Ageing and Pastoral Studies, or equivalent.

Applicants without tertiary qualifications must satisfactorily complete the Graduate Certificate of Ageing and Pastoral Studies prior to admission to the Graduate Diploma of Ageing and Pastoral Studies.

Graduate Certificate in Ageing and Pastoral Studies
  1. A relevant undergraduate degree;
    or
  2. For applicants without tertiary qualifications a letter of motivation must be provided together with evidence of at least four years relevant work experience.

CSU Credit Policy

Master of Arts (Ageing and Pastoral Studies)

Applicants who have successfully completed the nine core subjects within the Graduate Diploma of Ageing and Pastoral Studies will receive 64 credit points towards the Master of Arts (Ageing and Pastoral Studies).

Graduate Diploma of Ageing and Pastoral Studies

Applicants who have successfully completed the five core subjects within the Graduate Certificate in Ageing and Pastoral Studies will receive 32 credit points towards the Graduate Diploma of Ageing and Pastoral Studies.

Graduate Certificate in Ageing and Pastoral Studies

No special arangements apply.

Articulation

The Master, Graduate Diploma and Graduate Certificate make up an articulated set of courses and credit is given in each higher level course for the subjects completed in the lower.

Graduation requirements

Master of Arts (Ageing and Pastoral Studies)

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 128 points.

Graduate Diploma of Ageing and Pastoral Studies

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 64 points.

Graduate Certificate in Ageing and Pastoral Studies

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 32 points.
