The Master of Information Systems Security focuses on the design, implementation and management of secure computer networks and infrastructure. Students commence with a study of security policies and network security issues, before undertaking further topics from areas such as digital forensics, hacking countermeasures and the CISSP Common Body of Knowledge. Preparation for the world's leading IT Security industry certifications is included as an integral part of the course. All students conclude their studies with a capstone project.

The Graduate Certificate in Information Systems Security provides skills and knowledge in the areas of security policy and network security issues. Students also study two elective subjects from topic areas such as digital forensics, cloud computing, and incident response.

Master of Information Systems Security

For entry to the Master of Information Systems Security applicants are required to have an undergraduate degree from a recognised Australian tertiary institution (or equivalent) and appropriate work experience. Applicants without a tertiary qualification may be admitted to the Graduate Certificate in Information Systems Security on the basis of professional attainment and/or work experience. Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate, students will then be eligible for admission to the Master of Information Systems Security and receive credit for applicable subjects.

Graduate Certificate in Information Systems Security

Applicants without a tertiary qualification may be admitted to the Graduate Certificate in Information Systems Security on the basis of professional attainment and/or work experience. Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate, students will then be eligible for admission to the Master of Information Systems Security and receive credit for applicable subjects.
