Criteria
This Professional Experience Placement Grant is chosen by a Committee of Academic staff within the School of Education on the Albury-Wodonga campus and awarded to two students for their academic merit and /or need. The students need to demonstrate evidence of involvement in the local community or regionally and have career goals and aspirations about working in the local area. The Grant is to assist students with living expenses both away and at home while on their professional placement practicum, usually within a rural or remote area. Students who apply for this prize need to show that they are living away from home during the normal session times and paying rent. They also need to show that they need to be employed during normal session time, and will have to take leave from work to attend the placement.
Eligibility
Final year teacher education student studying on Albury-Wodonga campus in one of the following subjects: EPT328 Professional Experience 4 Extended Placement: Early Childhood & Primary EPT436 Transition to the Teaching Profession EPT427 K-12 Middle Schooling Professional Experience EPT424 Professional Experience 5: The Beginning Teacher
