Abstract

The subject is one of a suite of Master's research subjects allowing a sufficiently flexible combination of subjects to reflect the subject equivalent load of the student's Master's research project. Within these subjects, students will develop an advanced level of knowledge in a nominated discipline, and develop research, verbal and written skills in a specialised field.

  • demonstrate knowledge and skills relevant to conducting research, especially for entry to higher degree courses;
  • demonstrate an advanced level of knowledge in the area of specialisation; and
  • demonstrate verbal and written skills relevant to advanced studies.

Syllabus

The subject will cover the following topics:
  • Students select a research topic, develop a plan and then undertake a research project, under the guidance of the supervisor(s), which is relevant to the nominated discipline.
