EMH442 Curriculum Method 2: Society & Environment (8)


The subject builds upon the first curriculum method subject and incorporates an analysis of the major strands of Society and Environment. Students learn to program teaching and evaluation of units of work which draw upon principles of authentic pedagogy, and incorporate ICT. Students engage with conceptualisations of the Stage 6 HSIE curriculum teaching area and examine how these are represented in curriculum documents. This subject examines the wide-ranging nature of Stage 6 HSIE curriculum content. Students will develop an understanding of the teaching strategies appropriate to the design,implementation and assessment of high quality Stage 6 HSIE curriculum teaching and learning programs that cater for the needs of diverse learners.
