INF550 Research Project in Information Studies (16)

Abstract

Issues and questions which arise from the candidate's professional practice or previous study are identified and provide the basis of the research project. Students will be supervised as they develop a research proposal, apply for ethics (where appropriate) and execute their research in a chosen field of information studies.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
- have developed a research project proposal;
- have developed an ethics application (where appropriate);
- have developed the skills and expertise to undertake research in information studies;
- have demonstrated an ability to undertake independent research within a selected area of information studies; and
- have developed report writing skills to a high professional level.
