Abstract| Issues and questions which arise from the candidate's professional practice or previous study are identified and provide the basis of the research project. Students will be supervised as they develop a research proposal, apply for ethics (where appropriate) and execute their research in a chosen field of information studies. |

Learning OutcomesUpon successful completion of this subject, students should:
- have developed a research project proposal;
- have developed an ethics application (where appropriate);
- have developed the skills and expertise to undertake research in information studies;

- have developed report writing skills to a high professional level.
