Available only to students in the Doctor of Information Technology who have completed the four coursework subjects at a credit or higher average. Not available to students who have completed ITC716. |

Learning OutcomesUpon successful completion of this subject, students should:
- be able to critically investigate a theoretical or applied problem in the IT field;
- be able to effectively communicate a complex investigation of original research for external examination as a thesis;
- be able to independently design, implement, analyse, theorise and communicate research that makes a significant contribution to knowledge and/or professional practice.

SyllabusThe subject will cover the following topics:
- A program of research relevant to the students' chosen specialisation studies resulting in a thesis that is an original and significant contribution to knowledge.
- Research project based on the approved thesis proposal, working with supervisor(s) approved by the University.
- Research findings presented in an approved thesis form for examination by examiners approved by the University.
