JST328 Road Trauma Reduction (8)
Abstract| This subject discusses the far-reaching effects of road trauma and introduces students to current theories regarding its reduction. Issues raised include the social environment and its relationship to road trauma, as well as the modification of human behaviour. General deterrence and specific deterrence in road trauma reduction will be examined as well as program evaluation. Skills learnt in the subject will assist students in designing strategies to reduce road trauma and in dealing with the day-to-day policing of such incidents. |
