Abstract

This subject introduces the core business approaches and strategies to multiplatform producing.  It focuses on the role of a multiplatform content producer as a creative collaborator who builds and oversees a multiplatform production, and students gain skills in understanding the role of crowd sourcing, and locating financing sources, in addition to project production management skills.  The subject also offers an overview of approaches to distribution and marketing in the divergent multiplatform industries.  The subject explores skills and aesthetics of multiplatform producing, production development, budgets, content distribution and licencing, nationally and globally.

  • Entrepreneurial business strategies: crowd sourcing, and other financial sourcing
  • Budgeting and project oversight: strategies and contingencies
  • Distribution, licencing and marketing skills applied to multiplatform content: nationally and globally
