THL478 Independent Guided Study in Theology and Social Policy (8)

Abstract

In this subject students are required to identify either a theme or initiative in Australian social policy, or an issue related to service delivery. Students will develop an appraisal and response informed by the social theory and theological frameworks examined in the other subjects that make up the Graduate Certificate in Theology and Social Policy.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
- be able to analyse an aspect of Australian social policy or service delivery using the social theory and theological frameworks examined in the other subjects subjects that make up the Graduate Certificate in Theology and Social Policy;
- have skills in research within a vocational context;
- demonstrate the ability to utilise the insights and frameworks explored in the context of policy analysis and program management within a vocational context.

Syllabus

The subject will cover the following topics:
In consultation with the lecturer, students will plan and implement a project of their own choosing.
