The Graduate Diploma of Theology course is designed for people holding an undergraduate degree or equivalent in a discipline other than theology who wish to upgrade their knowledge and skills in this field also improve professional performance and personal satisfaction. Graduates are equipped with an articulate a broad understanding of the scope and disciplines of theological study; skills of theological reflection; and competence in one of the following theological fields: Biblical Studies, Systematic Theology, Church History or Pastoral and Worship Studies.

Applicants must hold an undergraduate degree from an approved tertiary institution, other than an undergraduate degree in Theology.

Graduate Diploma of Theology

No special Credit arrangements apply.

Transfer Credit will not be given for subjects that are in the Master of Ministry (with the exception of THL426), Master of Arts (Pastoral Counselling) articulated set, Master of Arts (Ageing and Pastoral Studies) articulated set, or the Master of Arts (Public and Contextual Theology) (with the exception of THL486) articulated set offered by the University.

Graded Credit will be granted for subjects completed within the CSU Graduate Certificate in Theology.

Within the limitations of the Academic Credit Regulations of the University, Credit may be considered for Systematic Theology, Biblical Studies, Church History and Practical Theology subjects successfully completed at other institutions at the graduate level.

Articulation

The Graduate Diploma and Graduate Certificate [Exit Point Only] make up an articulated set of courses and credit is given in each higher level course for the subjects completed in the lower.

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 32 points.
