Criteria
The student must be: - a final year student; - undertaking full-time studies; - plans to become a teacher of secondary English in NSW in the following year; - achieved a top position in the English Method subject EML442 Curriculum Method 2: English; - an exemplary academic record in either the education or the literature strand (or both); - demonstrates evidence of qualities that are most important to the English teaching profession.
Eligibility
Student who: - Is in a current Charles Sturt University high school teacher degree. - Has successfully studied English Method subject EML442 Curriculum Method 2: English.
Value
The English Teachers Association of NSW scholarship prize provides: - Full membership of The English Teachers Association of NSW for 2 (two) years. - Registration fees paid for the Beginning Teachers' Conference in the first year of teaching service. - An invitation to join one of The English Teachers Association of NSW committees. - The presentation of a Certificate of Achievement at the Early Career Teachers' Big Day Out. Prize is valued at $300.
