Criteria
This prize is awarded annually to a student who makes an outstanding contribution to conservation of native flora or fauna in Australia or overseas. This award is aimed at students who have been directly involved in organising and promoting extra-curricular conservation activities. These activities may include re-vegetation, threatened species monitoring and, or, the organisation and coordination of volunteers for participation in conservation programs. Students are required to submit a one-page document in support of their application. Based on a student's extra-curricular contribution to conservation of flora and, or, fauna in Australia or overseas. Special consideration is given to students who have been involved in organisation and promotion of conservation activity. A reasonable standard of academic performance is required (i.e. minimum pass average).
Eligibility
Open to an internal student currently enrolled in any of the various undergraduate courses in environmental sciences offered in the School of Environmental Sciences and membership of the student-based 'Enviro Network'.
Value
The prize will have a value of $300.00 and is funded through the student organised Enviro Network.
