Abstract

This subject develops students screen-based production, planning and research skills. Through the practical production of documentary and information content students study how specific screen-based documentary, and information content is produced. Students research develop and produce a documentary.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
  • be able to present a proposal that demonstrates an understanding of the doccumentart-based genre and relevant production practice.
  • be able to research, develop and produce a documentary-based program or segment
  • be able to demonstrate an understanding of the fundamental techniques in documentary production
  • be able to critically analyse and reflect on documentary production practices.

  • The documentary genre
  • Research for documentary production
  • Production planning
  • Production processes and practice in documentary
  • Analysis of production within the documentary genre
