Abstract
This subject integrates theory and practice in a professional communication environment, as students relate concepts from their learning to contemporary practice. Students gain insights into issues of personal and professional development and life-long learning in an authentic or professional environment. Students are required to undertake a minimum of 4 weeks (140 hours) professional placement or other relevant fieldwork and engage in a critical reflection of that experience. |

- Planning and preparing for fieldwork
- Supervised fieldwork of at least 4 weeks (140 hours)
- The role of theory in the workplace
- Contemporary professional knowledge and emergent issues
- Professional and ethical conduct in organisations
- Reflecting on the learning from role models and practice situations
- Principles and practices of lifelong learning

Work Place LearningThis subject contains a Compulsory Workplace Learning component of 20 days duration.
Students are required to engage in at least 4 weeks of supervised activity in a Communication environment or workplace.
