Abstract
This subject is designed to equip students with the necessary skills and understanding to effectively manage, stage and maintain a major project particularly focused in the area of communication. The processes, issues and responsibilities required for the project will be examined. Students will produce a communication project plan that they can execute in their final capstone project subject. |

Assumed Knowledge
It is assumed students are in the final year of their course and are planning a capstone project to be executed in their final session. Assumed knowledge is fundamentals of event and project planning established in COM126 Production Planning.

Learning OutcomesUpon successful completion of this subject, students should:
- be able to initiate ideas that demonstrate an understanding of the principles of project design and implementation
- recognise the role of collaboration,community and stakeholder participation in project management
- effectively prioritize tasks
- undertake independent research that informs and enhances the success of a project
- demonstrate ongoing research and evaluation of key elements in a project design such as: resource requirements, timelines, stakeholder engagement, risk assessment and budget considerations
- complete a comprehensive project plan
- be able to offer insight and positive communication with peers on project development and problem solving
