- Aproaches to theory: the researcher's perspective and social-psychological, psychological, sociological, cultural, linguistic and semiotic approaches
- Applications of communication theories: decision making and systems design
- Criteria for decision making
- Communication as information transmission
- Communication as shared meaning - definitional problems and new perspectives |

Residential School| This subject contains a optional 2 day residential school.
The residential school will review learning and examine foundational communication paradigms. Case studies and contemporary issues will be explored.
