Communicating with communities with high health needs will be an emphasis. A foundation of the oral health therapist’s role in oral health promotion and improving oral health outcome will be established, covering concepts of need in oral health, power and authority in dental care and conceptual models of health and illness. A deeper knowledge will be developed when planning a meaningful oral health promotion activity in partnership with a regional community group.
